Just a little information about me:


          I'm a graduate of Iowa State University with a major in meteorology and a minor in journalism. I am a self proclaimed weather nerd, and computer nerd.
          I had lived in Iowa all my life until November of 2004 when I landed a job in Houston, Texas. I work for a private weather forecasting company here, where our primary client base is offshore oil drilling companies, and other companies that rely on marine weather on a daily basis. I forecast on and around 6 of the 7 continents of the world on a regular basis. It is rather challenging, but pretty cool if you ask me. :)
          I love living in Texas. I could see myself living here for a very long time. Though I do miss my family and friends back in Iowa a LOT. I get back to visit a couple times a year. I also miss the good storm chasing opportunities up there! Yes, Texas has some good severe weather, and places to chase. But those places aren't very close to Houston! It's nice to be in the 60s and 70s through the winter though. (As I write this, I'm watching a nice line of thunderstorms moving in.)
