My senior thesis project involved testing whether or not VIL density can be used to determine hail size. I presented it at the Iowa State University Atmospheric Sciense Undergraduate Research Symposium on Dec 9, 2003, and again with John McLaughlin at the Severe Storms and Doppler Radar Conference in Des Moines, Iowa in March 2004. John also presented it himself at a number of conferences.
